A note from our friend’s at Stones River National Battlefield:
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act! Come celebrate with us by participating in American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day at Stones River National Battlefield. We will be improving local trails by removing invasive plants from Fortress Rosecrans, Old Fort Park, and the Lytle Creek Greenway on Saturday, June 2.
We have a limited capacity to supervise volunteers. Therefore we ask everyone to register by emailing claire_casey@partner.nps.gov or calling us at 615-893-9501 by Wednesday May 30, 2018.
Volunteers should wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and bring a water bottle and work gloves.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 am at the picnic pavilion in Old Fort Park, and the event will end at 12:30 pm.
