-GRAB 7 FRIENDS AND PLAN TO ATTEND-
In the middle of the sticky hot days of summer, the crisp cool of fall beckons just around the corner. Autumn in the South means football, the weekends made for tailgating with friends and neighbors—fans of the game, the 12th man.
Football teams have 11 players on a side, but the 12th man refers to the fans. That’s how big a role the presence of the fans plays. The noise, enthusiasm and encouragement provided by the fans gives effectively gives the home team the advantage of an extra player to help win the game.
On September 12, friends and fans of Greenhouse Ministries are invited to a Gameday tailgating event at 315 South Academy in Murfreesboro. Come on out and enjoy music, corn hole, football highlight reels, and BBQ. This premier fundraising event is part of Greenhouse’s capital campaign to build its new building.
Greenhouse fans are its 12th man, the key to winning the game and reaching their goal of $2.5 million. Greenhouse, together with volunteers, offers life transformation by encouraging and motivating underprivileged individuals and families in Rutherford County. Assisting with food, clothing, job skill training, adult education and counseling, Greenhouse Ministries gives hope and inspiration, inspiring people to give back to their community. At its new location, Greenhouse Ministries will be able to expand these services and its Garden Patch Thrift Shop.
How can you help? Come out to the Gameday event and tailgate with Greenhouse. Be a table host: invite 7 of your friends to sit with you at the event and enjoy the fun and friendly competition. As a table host, you’ll receive your own Greenhouse 12th man football jersey. Fall, football, and fun, with the chance to lift up others —the perfect recipe for an autumn weekend in the south. You won’t want to miss it!
