Whit Davis, Nominated by International Folkfest
Whit has been a constant help with the production each year of International Folkfest, dating back to the years he was a member of The Rutherford County Square Dancers and Cripple Creek Cloggers. Though he assists in many varied ways each year with the production of the festival, his main contribution in recent years is to serve as a guide for one of the foreign troupes. In 2019, he will be guiding their English visitors. He is already in touch with them, helping them plan their trip. Once they arrive at the Nashville BNA Airport, he will be with them 24/7, making sure they meet all of their commitments and helping them make the best use possible of their free time while in Tennessee. Organizers say that no other volunteer is more important to them, once the festival begins each year, than the guides for their visiting troupes! White will receive a certificate from Volunteer Rutherford and a $25 Amazon Gift Card courtesy of Guaranty Trust Company.
