The American Red Cross Blood Donation Center in Murfreesboro, as well as blood drives hosted by community partners, need volunteers to screen incoming blood donors. We ask volunteers to commit at least 1 shift per month. Each shift is typically 4-6 hours. Please contact Celeste Greene at celeste.greene3@redcross.org or (423) 682-0943 to discuss any interest in applying for this volunteer position. From there volunteers can select which locations and shifts they would like to volunteer for.
The Blood Donor Screener serves as gatekeeper by providing additional screening the American Red Cross has implemented in the interest of the safety of the blood supply, recipients, other donors, staff, volunteers and general public health regarding COVID-2019 outbreaks.
