Virtual library card now available

Get access to thousands of resources without ever having to walk into a library with an LPLS “virtual” library card. Linebaugh Public Library System is pleased to introduce a new online-use-only library card that provides access to all LPLS online resources, including eBooks and downloadable audiobooks through OverDrive/R.E.A.D.S., digital magazines through Flipster and all our online database resources.

Patrons who do not already have a LPLS library card can apply online by visiting www.linebaugh.org and then receive their card number to use in accessing resources. The new cards must be updated on an annual basis, just like a regular library card. A virtual card holder can easily visit any of our four branches to “upgrade” their card to enable them to check out items or use public computers.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer expanding access to our resources,” says LPLS Director Rita Shacklett. “Students and eBook enthusiasts, who may never come inside one of our physical locations, can now have the opportunity to enjoy books, magazines, and homework resources that our regular patrons already have. We’re just making it easier for them to get to them.”

The eCard is just another way you can explore, imagine and engage through LPLS.
