Be a United Way free tax prep volunteer and help families save money this tax season. United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is a free service that aids qualifying local residents in claiming their tax refund dollars. Because of volunteers, more than $2M was returned back into the community through the VITA program in 2017.
