Linebaugh Public Library will be hosting local author, Carroll Silvera, from 12 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 19. She will be selling and signing copies of her books, Ancestral Bonz, …What Doesn’t Kill You, and Every 9 Seconds.
Every 9 Seconds is the frightening tale of one woman’s battle with domestic violence done to her by someone she trusted. Domestic violence can manifest itself in many forms, including physical and emotional abuse. It affects not only the ill-treated person but also everyone else who encounters that person. Ancestral Bonz is a story of triumph, gallantry, and patriotism, in the quest for individual freedom. The story follows the life and love of the Prescott family on the nineteenth-century American frontier. …And What Doesn’t Kill You is a powerful story about the destructive relationship between Cara and her husband of three months—her fourth husband.
Silvera lives in Tennessee, surrounded by gently rolling hills, whitewashed fences and the softness of Southern comfort. She loves to immerse in history, geography and architecture. Aside from being a writer, Silvera is also an avid gardener and traveler who is awestruck by the beauty of nature and the world’s diversity.
The author will be signing and selling copies of her books, cash only.
