Linebaugh to host winter reading program

Hot Reads for Cold Nights! Linebaugh Public Library’s main branch will hold its annual Adult Winter Reading Program from January 17th through February 27th. Patrons are challenged to read and briefly review at least six books over the course of the program.  That’s six books in six weeks or a book each week. All formats are accepted and count toward the goal of six books. Patrons may sign up for the program at the library’s Circulation Desk beginning January 11th.

Each week, one reviewer will be randomly selected to receive a free book. At the conclusion of the Winter Reading Program, every person who has met the goal of reading and reviewing at least six books will be awarded a $10 gift card from Amazon.com. There will also be weekly gift certificates from local businesses. This year’s business sponsors are Wall St, Dodge’s Store, O’Possum’s Irish Pub, Green Dragon, Toot’s, and Regions Bank.

One lucky person having completed six reviews will be randomly selected to receive a Grand Prize, which consists of two gifts. A Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8GB tablet, plus a $100 gift card to Amazon.com. In addition to the grand prize, there will be 2nd and 3rd place gifts as well.

The 2016 Winter Reading Program is sponsored by The Friends of Linebaugh Library.
