H3O will be lighting candles to honor Vietnam veterans, have a moment of silence, share stories and prayers, have refreshments, and enjoy fellowship. This event will take place on Christmas Eve, starting at 7:00 p.m. and located at 236 Robert Rose Dr., Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. The event is on Christmas Eve so that veterans and supporters who do not have family in Middle Tennessee can come together as family at this event.

“It means a lot to me to have someone say welcome home,” said Bob Mims, a Murfreesboro resident who served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and attended last years’ ceremony. “It might be 40 years later, but it does help.” Last year, Commissioner Grinder urged the audience to “never forget that this is the greatest nation in the world” only because veterans are willing to serve to protect the country.
