Doors of Hope is seeking donations of laundry detergent pods and twin bed sheet sets.
Donations can be dropped off at their office at 428 E. Bell Street in Murfreesboro.
Doors of Hope, Inc. is a mentoring/training program for women who are nearing release from the Rutherford County Correctional Work Center.
These women are non-violent offenders, seeking change in their life, and are nominated by the Correctional Staff to attend life skills classes up to 120 days before they are released from the Center.
They offer hope and help to the ex-offender who chooses to embrace positive values and re-focus her life according to those values, changing her future from the inside out. By teaching values and life skills in prison, mentoring and helping with reentry challenges upon release, we will see recidivism rates reduced, as ex-offenders become responsible, respectable, contributing members of the community.
