Venessa Hyer is a Child Protective Investigator for the Department of Children’s Services. She and a team of super heroes work tirelessly every day to make sure our kids are safe. There are times when the safest option for a child is to have them enter the foster system. Often these children arrive with their clothes and few precious belongings thrown in a garbage bag.
