David Lee, Nominated by International Folkfest
David has been active with International Folkfest since helping to organize the annual festival in 1982. He has served in many roles, including as a member of Cripple Creek Cloggers, the local folk dance troupe whose travels to represent the U.S. in folkloric festivals in other countries led to the organization of International Folkfest. He has served as a guide for foreign troupes. He has helped with finance, especially in securing grants. He has worked to help provide meals for the visiting musicians and dancers. He has served as President of the International Folkloric Society Planning Council, the planning committee for the festival and he has represented International Folkfest at meetings of the National Folk Organization and the Council for the International Organization of Folkloric Festivals (CIOFF). David will receive a certificate from Volunteer Rutherford and a $25 Amazon Gift Card courtesy of Guaranty Trust Company.
