Casandra Fondos, Nominated by Greenheart Exchange
Casandra was a Greenheart exchange student at Smyrna High School this year. She is from Moldova and is on the U.S. Department of State Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) scholarship program. She has given over 70 hours of service to her school and community during her school year. Not only has she volunteered at her school in the library and school store, she has also been a peer tutor at her school. She has helped kids with special needs with everything from math exercises to helping them with exercises to stimulate their muscles and coordination. She has served as a patient, attentive friend providing fun games and social interaction for these students. She is truly a star student and those around her will miss her greatly when she returns home this week. Thank you Casandra for making a difference in our community!
