Amanda Lala, Nominated by Read to Succeed
Amanda is a recent MTSU graduate with honors in Organizational Communication. Amanda has always had a heart for others and started volunteering when she was just 13 years old at her church. She has volunteered at several places over the years including Read To Succeed. She has volunteered at the Celebrity Spelling Bee and the RTS volunteer luncheon. Staff say goes above and beyond each time she volunteers.
Amanda feels volunteering has put a fire in her heart to help and make changes in the world. She chose Organizational Communication because she hopes to one day start her own foundation and help the community in multiple ways. Amanda says “These organizations have changed my life and I want to do the same for somebody else.”
Amanda will receive a certificate from Volunteer Rutherford and a $25 Amazon gift card courtesy of Guaranty Trust.
