Volunteers sought to drive Cancer patients

Donate your passenger seat to save a life.

The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program matches volunteer drivers with cancer patients who need rides to cancer treatments. They currently have several patients in Rutherford County needing rides, some to Murfreesboro or Stonecrest and some to medical centers in Nashville.

Requirements to become a driver are: a good driving record, a current, valid driver’s license, completion of an American Cancer Society training course, access to a safe and reliable vehicle, proof of adequate automobiile insurance, and availability Monday throught Saturday during the hours of 7 am and 7 pm.
