Help Needed: Store Items for adults with special needs
Possibility Place is a day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They hold a Possibility Store twice a year so their adults can purchase gifts for family members with “bucks” they earn by completing jobs and volunteering in the community. This gives these adults a great deal of pride in earning the “bucks” and purchasing these items independently. They are desperate this year. They have 19 adults and only a few items for their store.
They need:
• New gifts for women: jewelry, perfume, body sprays, lotions, gift sets, gloves, scarves, hats, candles makeup, nail polish, etc.)
• New gifts for men: body sprays, gift sets, gloves, scarves, hats, etc.
• New gifts for teens and children: gift sets, toys, video games, crafts, books, board games, stuffed animals, 100 piece puzzles, etc.
• Also: hygiene items (body wash, special soaps) popular music CD’s, gift cards, candy, snacks, keychains, etc.
Items can be dropped off at Riverdale Baptist Church, 307 Warrior Drive in Murfreesboro from 9am-3pm between now and Thursday, December 3rd. Or you can call 615-653-3840 or email sonya.possibilityplace@gmail.com to arrange a different time.
