Help Barnabas help those in need

Barnabas Vision has a number of upcoming activities that they need assistance with.  Please look over these opportunities and see how you can get involved.
Coat Drive:
It’s that time of year again! Soon the crisp fall air will come and before we know it, the harsh winter cold will be here. This means that many people on the streets will be struggling to keep warm. With your donation of coats and blankets, they can help people who don’t have a home stay warm while on the streets. You can bring your donations to the Barnabas Vision office at 301 East Vine Street.  This is a great opportunity for you to clean out your closet!
Domestic Violence Shelter Christmas Party:
This year Barnabas Vision is partnering with Officer Forbes at the MTSU police department to host a Christmas party for the Domestic Violence Shelter.
Ways you can help are:
*Donate items for gift boxes for mothers.
*Decorating trees and hanging gift lists.
*Wrapping donated gifts
*Making decorations
*Decorating, setting up and cleaning up.  (a few volunteers are also needed to work the party)
*Cook food for the meal

Teen Christmas Program:
They are partnering up with Rutherford County Schools again this holiday season to provide Christmas presents to some of their less fortunate teenagers, a group which is often overlooked during the holidays.  They need sponsors to help provide gifts for these teens during Christmas. By sponsoring a teenager, you will be helping their parents to afford to pay their bills and taking away some of the financial burden this time of year.  If you have an interest in helping or any questions about this project, feel free to contact David Coggin (david@thebarnabasvision.org) or Brooke Tussey (bat3z@mtmail.mtsu.edu).
