Feed America First seeks 150+ helpers Sept. 23

FROM FEED AMERICA FIRST:

Feed America First has been completely overwhelmed and impressed by the response to our Hurricane Harvey hunger relief efforts. We are so thankful to be a part of this amazing community! World Outreach Church held a food drive and has brought in over 28,000 lbs. of food alone! We are seeking 150+ volunteers on Saturday, September 23rd starting at 9:00 a.m. to sort and repackage what we have received thus far. Groups are more than welcome. PLEASE RSVP as soon as you can by e-mailing Julie at julievandel@feedamericafirst.com.
With so many volunteers, parking will be limited. Please carpool if possible! Wear closed-toe shoes for safety, and a jacket depending on weather (our warehouse is not temperature controlled.) If you have any other questions, e-mail Julie at julievandel@feedamericafirst.com.

Feed America First has been partnering with local and national organizations to coordinate a Middle Tennessee response to the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, and plans now include Hurricane Irma across Florida. Our goal is to provide a second wave of longer-term support after the first responders have cleared out. If your school, church, business, etc. would like to have a food drive for hurricane relief efforts, please contact our Executive Director, Tom Henry, at tomhenry@feedamericafirst.com or (615) 512-5915.
