What is Feed The Children? Feed the Children is one of the world’s leading anti-hunger organizations and brings together caring individuals to create a world where no child goes to bed hungry. Together, we help kids be kids by providing healthy food, safe water, education, and job training so that kids and their families in all 50 states and in 18 countries where we work become independent. In addition to helping families and communities around the world to achieve lasting self-sufficiency, Feed The Children also responds in times of disaster to provide emergency supplies for those in need.
What does Feed The Children do in the United States? By banding together and challenging convention, we are working to defeat hunger both in the United States and around the world.
In fiscal year 2013, our partnerships enabled us to give $215 million in food and essentials to over 10 million individuals in the U.S. Because school is the best way to help kids escape poverty, we help them attend and finish school by distributing backpacks to homeless children and offering free books and supplies to educators through our Teacher Stores.
What does Feed The Children do worldwide? Around the world, Feed the Children provides nourishing meals every school day to more than 350,000 children. In fiscal year 2013, the organization distributed over $129 million in food, medicine, and other essentials to children in 18 countries. Via child sponsorship, school sponsorship, and other projects, we help kids be kids by feeding them today and addressing the root causes of poverty so they won’t go hungry tomorrow.
