The Mid South Chapter, serving 85 counties in TN, AL, AR and VA, provides reliable information and care consultation, creates supportive services for families, increases funding for dementia research and influences public policy changes. The chapter serves over 50,000 people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as over 100,000 caregivers.
Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Opportunities to serve OFF SITE: They OCCASIONALLY have opportunities for off-site service but nothing ongoing.
Event Volunteers: Rutherford County’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s happens annually in the Fall. They will need volunteers to help put together signs, counting, print and folding papers.
